Gleeson Land submitted an outline planning application in September 2021 for up to 71 new market and affordable homes in Malmesbury Wiltshire. This application is the third phase of development at Malmesbury following Gleeson’s previous success in securing 180 homes in the first phase and a further 71 homes in the second phase. Wiltshire Council is currently unable to demonstrate the required five years of future housing land supply and the application would assist in making up the current shortfall in the highly sustainable and desirable market town of Malmesbury.

When designing the third phase we were able to work within our landowner’s desire to maintain the integrity of their existing farming and glamping business by incorporating generous open space to the south, creating an attractive layout which also provides more than 10% net gain to biodiversity, new allotments and sustainable drainage systems to reduce the risk of flooding locally compared to the existing agricultural field.
