Gleeson Land has submitted an outline planning application for a development at Blackmore Farm in the market town of Melksham, Wiltshire. The site extends to approximately 30 hectares and is located to the east of Melksham.

The outline application will support local housing needs, bringing up to 650 much needed new homes to the area, of which 30% will be allocated affordable. The application includes land for a two form entry primary school, along with a mixed use hub, both of which are centrally located on the site. Beautiful areas of open space are also proposed along with 10% biodiversity net gain.

Guy Gusterson, Managing Director of Gleeson Land comments  ”The Gleeson Land team has carefully put together a beautiful scheme for Melksham. I believe the proposal will provide much needed new homes and community facilities for local people in the area. We are looking forward to progressing this application and hopefully bringing the site to marker later on this year.’

Zoe Knott, Planning Manager and Nick Parsons, Senior Technical Manager, have been working together to get this application submitted. Gleeson Land will now work with Wiltshire Council throughout the determination period of this planning application.
